Assignment
Air Force Master Sgt. David A. Reagan has been assigned to a forward operating area to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Enduring Freedom is the biggest military mobilization ordered since the Gulf War in 1991.
Members of the Armed Forces have been deployed and activated to support the war against terrorism outside the United States, mainly in Afghanistan. Reagan, a public relations superintendent, is a son of Connie Branch, 163 Forest Court, Lake Milton, Ohio, and Carmine Falitico, 1590 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. He graduated in 1983 from Southeast High School, Ravenna, and received an associate degree in 1993 from Community College of the Air Force.
RETIREMENT
Served 28 years
Army Lt. Col. Robert Klein, son of Helen Klein, 4254 Candlelight Drive S.E., Warren, and the late Robert J. Klein, retired after 28 years service during ceremonies at Fort Myers, Va.
He graduated in 1969 from John F. Kennedy High School in Warren and in 1973 from Youngstown State University with a degree in mathematics. At YSU, Klein was a member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps.
Klein served two years in Korea as a company commander in the Signal Corps and at various bases in the United States, including working at the Pentagon for the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency at Langley, Va. He served in 1991 during Desert Storm and during Operation Joint Endeavor in 1996.
He received numerous ribbons and medals during his career, including the Legion of Merit for leading a team during Desert Storm that redesigned software to demobilize reservists. During Operation Joint Endeavor, he went to Sarajevo to improve lines of communication between liaison officers and Headquarters, European Command.
Upon discharge from active duty, Klein joined the 1st Army Reserve Linguist Unit in Alexandria, Va. He works as a systems engineer for Raytheon Systems in Reston, Va., and he and his wife, Mary, live in Falls Church, Va.

PROMOTIONS
Air Force, AF Reserve
Air Force Lt. Col. Tamara Link, daughter of Robert and Nancy Link, 451 Arbor Circle, Liberty, was promoted to her present rank at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., where she is stationed as a nurse with the 43rd Medical Group.
Link graduated in 1980 from Liberty High School and in 1984 from Bowling Green State University, where she was named the Outstanding Nurse Graduate.
In 1998, she earned her master of science nursing degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md., where she received the Distinguished Academic Performance Award and was Outstanding Student Family Nurse Practitioner. During her career, she has served as a flight nurse out of Germany and is a veteran of the Gulf War.
Michael A. Mason was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve after graduating from Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
Mason, a pilot trainee, is assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing at Youngstown Air Reserve Base, Vienna.
He is a son of Elaine S. Mathews, 4787 Everett-Hull Road, Cortland, and is married to the former Jennifer Ricciuti of Vienna. Mason graduated in 1991 from Mathews High School, Vienna, and in 2000 from Youngstown State University.
TRAINING
Leadership school
Air Force Senior Airman Matthew C. Addison graduated from the five-week Airman Leadership School at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., a required course for airmen before being promoted to the rank of staff sergeant. Addison, a weather forecaster, is assigned to the 15th Operations Squadron, Fort Stewart, Hinesville, Ga.
He is a son of William and Debbie Addison, 4125 Nelson-Mosier Road, Leavittsburg, and graduated in 1995 from LaBrae High School, Leavittsburg.
