Jeswald jubilee is marked at buffet dinner
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. James A. Jeswald, 2506 S. Schenley Ave., are being honored today during a buffet dinner at the Knights of Columbus hall to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Family members issued invitations to the event.
The former Betty Jean Nacarato and Mr. Jeswald exchanged marriage vows on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, 1951, at St. Ann Church.
Mrs. Jeswald, who retired in 1997, was a cook at The Embassy. She is a member of the Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus 5371.
A vice foreman in the weld shop at U.S. Steel Co., Mr. Jeswald retired in 1980. He is a member of Knights of Columbus 3930, Italian-American Veterans Centre 3 and the Seabees Veterans. He served 41/2 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 28 years in the U.S. Navy Seabees.
They are members of St. Christine Church.
Their children are Susan Tallarino of Elyria, Anita Farinelli of Poland, and Debora Globeck, Michael Jeswald, Mary Varjaski and James A. Jeswald Jr., all of Youngstown. The family circle also includes eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
