FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The wedding of Lauri Brunelli and John Oliva, both of 1220 S.W. 18th St., took place at 11 a.m. Oct. 27 at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church.
The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. John Baker, and afterward a reception was held at the Riverside Hotel and a family dinner took place at the Riverhouse Restaurant.
After a honeymoon in Anguilla, British West Indies, the couple live in Fort Lauderdale.
The bride, a daughter of Louis and Marybeth Brunelli, 852 Almasy Drive, Campbell, is an account supervisor with O'Connell-Goldberg in Hollywood, Fla. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., with a bachelor's degree in English.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Elon University in Elon College, N.C., and is a photojournalist with WPLG Channel 10 in Miami. He is a son of Albert and Jean Oliva of Gainesville, Va.
Serving as honor attendant for her sister was Lynn Brunelli of Cleveland, who wore a navy blue ensemble.
The duties of best man were performed by Tony Baum of Hatteras, N.C., and the usher was the groom's nephew, Brian Swann of Richmond, Va.
