CAMPBELL -- A reception was held at Stambaugh Auditorium to honor Joseph S. Maiorana of Girard and his bride, the former Cassandra Lopez of Norton, following their 1:30 p.m. wedding Oct. 20 at St. John Church.
The Rev. John Trimbur presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Robert G. and Blanche Switka of Campbell and the son of Antonino and Vincenza Maiorana of Girard.
The couple left on a Caribbean cruise and honeymoon in Miami.
They live at 3352 Columbia Woods Drive, Norton.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University and from Kent State University, East Liverpool Campus. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant at Medina General Hospital.
The groom, a junior staff accountant with ComDoc Inc. in Uniontown, graduated from YSU.
Beading embellished the bride's ivory satin off-the-shoulder-style gown, and the full skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Yolanda Lopez and Angie Straser, the honor attendants, wore pewter-gray gowns. Wearing silver-gray gowns were the bridesmaids, Teresa Maiorana, Terri Katula, Jennifer Dix, Rina Briedenbaugh and Marlene Torres. Junior bridesmaid was Maria Maiorana, and flower girls were Camryn Maiorana and Juliana Cario.
Best men were Nicola and Nickolas Maiorana, and groomsmen were Angelo LoCastro, Benny Switka, Lou Straser, Harold Briedenbaugh, Anthony Vivacqua and Robert G. Switka Jr. Ring bearers were Harold A. Briedenbaugh and Anthony Maiorana.
