COLUMBIANA CORNER Clerk workers show colors every Friday

Since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, people have felt compelled to display their patriotism by donning the red, white and blue and flying the flag.
The employees of the Columbiana County clerk of courts office are doing their part as well.
Every Friday, instead of dressing down, they wear sweat shirts emblazoned with the colors of Old Glory.
Finding fakes: A recent case in Salem of $50 counterfeit bills showing up at area merchants resulted in some advice from the police department.
Counterfeit bills are relatively easy to spot on the new U.S. currency.
Simply hold one of the new bills up to a bright light. Appearing in one corner should be ghost image of the portrait that appears in the center of the bill.
If the image isn't there, you might have a fake on your hands.
But before you alert authorities, make sure you're holding one of the newly designed bills.
