Agency workers to vote
WARREN -- Workers at the Trumbull County Child Support Enforcement Agency were to vote this morning on a tentative labor agreement that could end their 4-week-old strike.
The tentative agreement between union negotiators and the Trumbull County commissioners was pounded out during a negotiating session Sunday that stretched for more than seven hours, said county commissioner Michael O'Brien. Neither the state-appointed mediator nor the commission's Cleveland lawyer was present, he said.
The major issue in the strike by 55 members of American Federation of State, Municipal and County Employees local 3808 has been paying for health insurance.
