Aetna U.S. Healthcare offers its Medicare HMO plans in certain areas of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and California. The company is dropping its coverage in certain Pennsylvania counties as a cost-cutting measure. Here is a rundown of the changes in Pennsylvania:
Medicare HMO won't be offered in these counties after Dec. 31: Lawrence, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton and Montgomery.
Medicare HMO insurance will continue to be offered in these counties: Allegheny, Fayette, Westmoreland, Philadelphia, Chester and Delaware.
