Slain man found by city work crew

YOUNGSTOWN -- A city police report does not identify by name, age or address a homicide victim found Tuesday by a city litter control crew on Atkinson Avenue between Dudley and Vaughn avenues.
The victim, a dark-haired white male with a mustache, was found face up with duct tape around his neck and wrists between two large fallen tree branches at 1:28 p.m.
The man was wearing white leather tennis shoes, blood-soaked light-blue faded jeans, a red T-shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt. The report does not say how he is believed to have died.
It is the city's 28th homicide this year, compared with 25 at this time last year.
