HOWLAND -- Howland Community Church was the setting Oct. 6 for the wedding of Melissa Ann Cross, a daughter of Richard and Darlene Cross, 1427 Heaton Blvd., Niles, and Bruce Alan Gaus, a son of Wilbert Gaus, 5622 Colgate Drive, Austintown, and the late Ruth Gaus.
The Rev. Jerry Kruse presided at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held later that day at DiLucia's Banquet Room in Warren.
The newlyweds honeymooned in the Pocono Mountains and live on Stillwagon Road.
The bride's white satin gown was embellished with pearls and lace, and was designed with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and a full skirt that flowed into a cathedral train.
Beverly Cross of Girard was the honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Shelley Kacenski of Austintown and the groom's sister-in-law, Jan Gaus of Paris Township. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Savanna Cross of Girard.
Performing the duties of best man was Bill Shea of Warren, and groomsmen were Don Kacenski of Austintown and the groom's brother, Dale Gaus of Paris Township.
The bride is an accountant with Dr. Frank Veres in Champion.
The groom is a volunteer fireman with Howland Fire Department and a a service technician with Goodyear Tire Co. in Liberty.
