BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield United Methodist Church was the setting at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 6 for the wedding of Lisa A. Meade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Skruck Jr., 431 Illinois Ave., McDonald, and Jon P. Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Carpenter, 913 Valley View Drive. The Rev. Geoffrey Oswald officiated.
The couple were honored afterward at a reception at Yankee Lake Ballroom.
They spent their honeymoon in Altoona and Tionesta, Pa. They are living in Masury.
The bride was wearing an ivory satin sleeveless gown trimmed in dusty rose.
The groom's sister, Jena Carpenter of Brookfield, served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Lora Castoro of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., Linda Spehar of Niles and Loretta Sweet of Girard, the bride's sisters, and Kristin Carpenter of Howland, the groom's cousin. They wore bronze-colored gowns.
Scott Thompson of Hartford performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Joe Scibetta of Greenville, Pa., the groom's cousin; Chris Wensel of South Pymatuning; Nathan Smith of Slippery Rock, Pa.; and the bride's brother, Lewis Skruck of Girard. Ushers were Larry Skruck III of Wadsworth, her brother, and Andrew Cronin of Masury, her son.
Mr. Carpenter is employed at Carpenter's Towing and Auto Service in Brookfield.
