Masonic district installs new leader



LEETONIA -- Robert Myers, worshipful master of Leetonia Masonic Lodge 401, welcomed more than 90 Masons, family members and guests Oct. 29 as James C. Feist was installed as district deputy grand master of the 24th Masonic District.
Installing officer was Thomas D. Zahler, past grand master of the state of Ohio, and other installing officers were Jerry Clemens, chaplain; Robert Musgrove, marshal; James Hahle, senior warden; Keith Ashbaugh, junior warden; Greg Smith, secretary; Ronald Tice, senior deacon; Paul Belus, junior deacon; Joseph Russell, senior steward; Dean Ferris, junior steward; and Joseph Phillis, treasurer.
Alonzo Potts opened the ceremony by singing "The Lord's Prayer," and giving the apron presentation was Harold Bates. Gary Sneddon gave the jewel presentation and closing remarks, and Musgrove gave the proclamation.
District 24 is comprised by Carroll, Columbiana, Mahoning and Jefferson counties. Feist has chosen the motto "Working Together, Improving the World" for his term.
Leetonia Lodge's next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
