YOUNGSTOWN -- Julie Ann Purton and Devlin Scott Detchon exchanged marriage vows during a 4 p.m. ceremony Oct. 13 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. D. Larry Kline officiating.
Parents of the bride are Patrick and Mary Rose Purton, 598 W. Wilson Ave., Struthers. Mr. Detchon is a son of Richard Detchon of R.R. 2, Wampum, Pa., and the late Beverly Detchon.
A reception followed at Willow Creek in Girard, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Vermont. They are living at 7409 West Blvd., Boardman.
The bride wore an A-line gown designed with a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. Pearls adorned the bodice.
Her sister, Gloria Purton, was maid of honor. She wore an iridescent wine-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Tiffany and Monica Fabian and Karen Ford, the bride's cousins; Nadine Gaudelli; Gail Mezzapeso; Kim Janetti; and Renee Brylo. Junior bridesmaids were her cousins, Kaitlyn Fabian and Jody McGraw.
Patrick Purton, the bride's brother, was best man, and groomsmen were Robert Zinz; Edward Farkas; Orlando Carrabia; James Detchon, the groom's brother; Daniel Marshall; Brian Colkitt; and Raima McKenzie. Junior groomsman was Nathan Fabian, the bride's cousin, and Alex McGraw, also her cousin, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Detchon is a department manager at Stein Mart in Boardman.
Her husband is employed as a sales representative with Wellington Associates in Youngstown.
