HOLIDAY LIGHTS Remembrances



Three Mercer County hospital auxiliaries have scheduled their annual holiday remembrance tree-lighting programs.
Sharon Regional Health System: For a donation of $5 or more, a light will be placed on the Lights of Love tree in honor or memory of someone special. Money raised from the program will benefit the hospital's Hospice Home Care program. To secure a light, pick up a brochure in the hospital lobby or home health office or call the volunteer office at (724) 983-3805. Tree lighting will be in the Emergency Care Center lobby at 3 p.m. Dec. 2.
UPMC Horizon -- Farrell: For a minimum donation of $5, a personalized ornament will be placed on the Remembrance Tree in the hospital lobby in honor or remembrance of someone special. The names of honorees will be recorded in a registry kept on display in the lobby. To secure an ornament, send a donation along with the donor's name, address and telephone number and the name of the person being honored to: UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley Auxiliary in care of Betty Cline, Hospitality Shop, 2200 Memorial Drive, Farrell, Pa. 16121. Proceeds benefit local student medical scholarships and hospital improvements. Tree lighting is set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
UPMC Horizon -- Greenville: For a minimum $5 donation, a light and a personalized angel ornament will be placed on one of three trees in the hospital lobby in honor or memory of someone special. The names of honorees and donors are recorded in a registry displayed in the lobby. To secure a light and ornament, pick up a form at the hospital gift shop or send a donation check to Horizon Hospital Auxiliary -- Greenville in care of Marie Julian, 168 S. Mercer St., Greenville, Pa. 16125. The donor's name, address, telephone number and the name of the person being honored must be included. Proceeds benefit local medical student scholarships and hospital improvements. Tree lighting is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 2.
