Crum jubilee to be celebrated at reception



NEW SPRINGFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Denis Crum of New Springfield will be honored during an open reception to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts and hostesses for the event will be the honorees' daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Don Feren of Canfield and Sandy and Dave Best of New Springfield, and their grandson and his wife, Don and Lynda Feren of Canfield.
The couple request that gifts be omitted.
The former Doris Oesch and Mr. Crum exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony Nov. 24, 1951, at Emmanuel Lutheran, where they are members.
Retiring in 1989, Mr. Crum was an inspector at NRM Corp. in Columbiana, where he worked for 46 years. He served in the U.S. Navy as a medic during World War II and also served as a medic with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea. He is a member of VFW Post 2799.
Mrs. Crum worked for 25 years for Swopes Valu King in North Lima, where she was a cashier. She also retired in 1989.
The family circle includes one great-granddaughter.
