T-shirts from patriotic event will benefit widows' fund

BOARDMAN -- A T-shirt sale to benefit the families of police and firefighters will be held on Saturday just before The Valley's Tribute to American Heroes: A Red, White and Blue Parade.
The T-shirts, which cost $10 each, have the parade logo on the front and a picture of the American flag on the back. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the New York City Police and Firefighters Widows' and Children's Fund.
The T-shirts will be sold from golf carts along the parade route before the start of the event. The parade will start at 10 a.m. on Market Street at Nisonger Drive and end at the Boardman Township Administration Building.
Also, all proceeds from the sale of advertising during WFMJ TV 21's live broadcast of the parade will be donated to the widows' and children's fund. The parade will be broadcast beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. It will be re-broadcast at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Veteran's Day.
