CRAIG BEACH Man, 38, arrested by deputies

CRAIG BEACH -- Mahoning County deputy sheriffs charged a Denver drive man this morning after his girlfriend's son was cut with a kitchen knife.
The son, 18, had a five-inch cut on his chest, according to deputies. He refused medical treatment.
Arraigned this morning in Mahoning County Court, Canfield, was Wallace Flemming, 38. He pleaded innocent to one count of domestic violence and one count of felonious assault.
What happened: Deputies arrested Flemming about 1:30 a.m. after finding him chasing a 17-year-old boy on Hercules Drive. The 17-year-old is the half brother of the 18-year-old.
Under arrest: A deputy sheriff ordered Flemming to stop chasing the boy and show his hands. He stopped and kept his hands at his sides. The deputy then drew his gun and again ordered him to show his hands. He complied, and, following orders from the deputy, got onto the ground, where he was arrested.
The 17-year-old told police he and his half-brother fought with Flemming after he yelled at their mother. The dispute occurred at a Denver Drive home. All four people involved in the dispute live at the home.
The boy said Flemming left after the fight, only to return 15 minutes later with the kitchen knife. The 18-year-old was cut during an ensuing fight, the 17-year-old said.
The knife was found at the home.
