BEAUTY Q & amp;A

Q. Is it possible that sunscreen is making my face break out?
A. Ironic, isn't it, that something that protects your skin from the damaging effects of the sun also can block the pores -- which prevents oil and sweat from escaping, which in turn can lead to the formation of pimples. This is true with sweat- and water-resistant sunscreens in cream and oil formulations.
Your best bet is to use an oil-free or gel sunscreen. Add a broad-brimmed hat and you'll need less sunscreen on your face, further reducing the likelihood of breakouts.
