Fall menswear is ruggedly preppy

According to Sid Marshburn, a designer for Lands' End, the look for men this fall is that of a rugged prepster, the sort of guy who's equally at home on the rowing crew or on his company's board of directors. Here are the must-haves on Marshburn's list:
UA patterned sport coat in houndstooth or herringbone. Dress it up with tailored pants or down with jeans and a turtleneck.
UA textured cable or ribbed sweater vest. Wear it over a button-down shirt with or without a sport coat.
UA collegiate striped rugby shirt paired with fine-wale corduroys.
UA cashmere turtleneck. Wear it to work with a tailored sport coat and pants and on the weekends with flat-front chinos.
