*NSync is seekingthe perfect movie
LOS ANGELES -- Only two members of *NSync have major roles in the new film "On the Line," but they're looking for a project that would star all five of them.
They don't want to do "A Hard Day's Night" sort of movie, says Joey Fatone, so they're waiting for the right project -- maybe something like "Grease."
"If that doesn't come out, we want to do like something totally different. ... No musical elements in the movie," he told reporters recently.
Fatone and Lance Bass appear in "On the Line"; two other members, Justin Timberlake and Chris Kirkpatrick, have cameos at the end.
Meanwhile, Fatone says he'll never replace music with acting.
"Music is always going to be a part of my life. I mean no matter what I do. And as far as *NSync is concerned, we're just going to keep on going and that's obviously the main, main focus in my life right now.
"On the Line" opened in theaters Oct. 26.
Book says Madonnatried to seduce Jackson
Madonna has had her share of men, but she couldn't bag Michael Jackson. According to Andrew Morton's new biography, "Madonna," excerpted in People magazine, the Material Mom "told one of her lovers" that she had tried to seduce Jackson shortly after the 1991 Oscars -- but "failed to arouse his interest."
According to the lover, Madonna and Jackson were on the couch at his place when she put the moves on him. When they touched, he would start giggling like a little boy. Nothing further happened.
Voice double subsfor Harry Potter star
Makers of the much-anticipated Harry Potter film called in a voice double after its star's voice broke during filming, a British newspaper reported Thursday.
The Sun said London schoolboy Joe Sowerbutts was hired to dub two scenes for 12-year-old star Daniel Radcliffe in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," which is being released in Britain under the title "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone."
A seasoned actor who has appeared in British Broadcasting Corp. productions, Sowerbutts spent one day recording at Shepperton Studios, near London.
"It was a great honor for me," he told the newspaper.
Sowerbutts -- who, like thousands of other children, auditioned for the Potter film -- also provides the boy wizard's voice on Nintendo and PlayStation Harry Potter games, the newspaper said.
Aaliyah, Isleysdiscussed joint venture
Aaliyah and the Isley Brothers had discussed a possible collaboration before her death in a plane crash this summer, according to the group's lead singer. "We were going to do a duet together, so I was looking forward to that," Ronald Isley said. "She was a beautiful lady."
The 22-year-old singer was killed along with eight others Aug. 25 when a small plane carrying them back from a video shoot in the Bahamas crashed shortly after takeoff. Aaliyah performed covers of Isley Brothers' songs in her albums.
Thornton describeslatest role as toughest
LOS ANGELES -- Billy Bob Thornton has more to say as the narrator of "The Man Who Wasn't There" than his character does in Joel and Ethan Coen's latest film.
Thornton plays local barber Ed Crane, a man of few words who lets his facial expressions and body movements speak for him.
That made the character the toughest he's played, Thornton told reporters recently, putting pressure on him to react visually to what was going on.
"The Man Who Wasn't There" has opened in selected cities.
