Advance ticket sales for the Nov. 16 adventure about the orphan wizard kid and his escapades at a boarding school for magicians, are hot and heavy. Fandango (800-555-8355), the online movie ticketing company (www.fandango.com) that offers tickets for seven of the country's largest movie-theater chains, reports unprecedented volume for Potter ducats -- outdoing the advance sales figures for the 1-year-old company's previous best-seller," Pearl Harbor."
Moviefone, which handles advance sales for 17 chains including AMC, Clearview, General Cinema, Loews Cineplex and United Artists, is likewise experiencing a huge volume of "Potter" requests. Moviefone's Web site: www.moviefone.com.
