WARREN -- Dr. Mustansir Mir will speak on the subject "Islam in the Context of Current Conflicts" at 7 p.m. Nov. 11, in Howland Community Church. Mir is director of the Center for Islamic Studies and a professor of philosophy and religion at Youngstown State University. Harvest project
AUSTINTOWN -- Idaho Road Alliance Church will hold a Harvest Sunday community celebration at 10:30 a.m. Sunday to remind people there are good things in their lives during trying times. Mimi Lodeck of Pittsburgh will provide praise banners for the celebration. A reception will follow.

NEW CASTLE -- Calvary Temple Worship Center will have Jim Hukill as its special musical guest at 6 p.m. Sunday. Hukill has used a wheelchair since childhood and is the founder of Eleos -- The Care Network Ministries. A reception will follow.

Eighth anniversary
