Senchaks receive papal blessing on anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN --In celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Senchak, South Belle Vista Avenue, received a papal blessing during a 4 p.m. Mass May 26 at Holy Name Church.
Afterward they accepted congratulations during a reception at St. George Croatian Hall. The celebrations will continue during a family vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
Hosts for the festivities were members of their family, Michael and Jean Senchak of Canfield, Patricia and Nick DeMain of Austintown, David and Ann Marie Senchak of Flushing, Mich., and Ronald and JoAnna Senchak of Stow. Seven grandchildren complete the family circle.
Mr. Senchak and the former Mary Lou Tumpak were united in marriage May 26, 1951, at Holy Name Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Senchak is a homemaker. Her husband retired in 1985 from his position as a supervisor with the Traffic Engineering Department with the city of Youngstown. He was also associated with the J.C. Penney Co. in Boardman.
