Pavilion project
COITSVILLE -- Despite several days of rain last week, a new roof and two skylights are in place at the Coitsville Historical Society pavilion. Students from the New Castle School of Trades offered free labor to reshingle the roof.
CHS members are still looking for donations to buy concrete for the pavilion's floor, as part of an effort to complete the building in 2002. Jim Taylor, NCST instructor, said his students would offer free labor for other pavilion projects.
The CHS also hopes to use the pavilion as a part-time classroom for its proposed McGuffey school program, scheduled for each June and July. For more information, call Dorothy Morse at (330) 536-8067 or (330) 536-8331.
