Mr. and Mrs. Ortenzio celebrate jubilee with dinner in New York



BOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Ortenzio, 171 Southwoods Ave., marked their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner May 13 at Mont Blanc Restaurant in New York City.
Hosts of the event were the honorees' children, Jo-Lynn Ortenzio of Boardman and Joseph Ortenzio of New York City.
The former Eunice M. Vitullo and Mr. Ortenzio were married June 2, 1951, at St. Charles Church in Boardman.
Mrs. Ortenzio graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education and taught fourth-grade in Warren. She is a charter member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Mahoning County Bar Association and is also a member of the Gamalon Club, Eye-Opener Bowling League and alumni associations of YSU and the University of Michigan.
Mr. Ortenzio earned a bachelor's degree at YSU and a juris doctorate at UM. A practicing attorney for 50 years, Mr. Ortenzio is a member and past president of the bar association. He also is a member of the Victors Club at UM, the alumni associations at YSU and UM, and Monsignor Means Knights of Columbus, Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with a tour of duty in Okinawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Ortenzio are members of St. Charles Church, where he has been a lector for 36 years.
