MICHELLE ALTRUIBRAD BLACKBURN
HUBBARD -- Brad Blackburn and his bride, the former Michelle Altrui, were united in marriage April 28 during a 2 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Timothy O'Neill at St. Patrick Church.
The bride is a daughter of Susan Desaulnier of Brimfield and Phillip Nunes of Westerly, R.I.
Parents of the groom are Walter and Barbara Blackburn of Boardman.
After a reception at St. Mary's Assumption Social Center in Youngstown, the couple left on a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico.
The bride's sleeveless gown was embellished with lace and pearls, and the full tulle skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Lavender and amethyst gowns were worn by Debra Gorby, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Barbara Wissner, Erin Lacharite, Melissa Runyan, Heidi Carpe and Ilka Wimberly. Flower girl was Breanna Blackburn.
Joseph Zub served as best man, and groomsmen were Brian Blackburn, Jeff Roberts, Marc Gillette, Phillip Nunes and Kurt Wright. Ring bearer was Nathan Wissner.
The bride, a medical assistant with Dr. Louis Brine in Boardman, graduated from Porter and Chester Institute in Enfield, Conn., with an administrative medical assistant degree.
The groom, a police officer with Youngstown Police Department, earned a degree in criminal justice at Youngstown State University.
They live in Youngstown.
