YOUNGSTOWN -- Honeymooning in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, are Joseph Benjamin Wagner II of Cortland and his bride, the former Merry Morgan Gubany of Youngstown, who exchanged vows at 2 p.m. May 26 before the Rev. Frank Lehnerd at St. Edward's Church.
The bride's parents are Donald S. and Carol Gubany of Youngstown. The groom is a son of Joseph B. Wagner, Bratenahl, and the late Eileen Wagner.
The newlyweds, who were honored at a reception at Youngstown Country Club, will live in Cortland.
Mrs. Wagner attended Kent State University and graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. The groom attended the College of Wooster and earned a bachelor's degree in biology at Ohio State University. They are employed by Progressive Insurance. She is a claims representative in Youngstown, and he is information systems manager in Mayfield Village.
The bride wore an ivory silk gown styled with a pleated skirt and sweep train.
Honor attendants were Cynda Bacani and Jennifer Lishing. Bridesmaids were Sarah Gubany, Susan Gubany, Melissa Scheetz, Anna Wagner and Stephanie Mohr. They wore pink and cream ensembles. Sasha Kahan was flower girl.
Martin Wagner was best man, and ring bearers were Harrison Wagner and Zachary Scheetz. Groomsmen were Matthew Gubany, Jason Kreiner, Duncan Cameron, William Mackenzie, Patrick McNally and Thomas Moore. Junior usher was Maxwell Wagner.
