Wife of Campbell schools chief faces court date in felony theft

BOARDMAN -- A part-time teacher's aide at Campbell Memorial High School, who is the wife of the superintendent of schools, is due back in Boardman area court June 11 to face theft charges.
Christine Ciccolelli, 36, of Cynthia Drive, Campbell, initially appeared before Judge Joseph M. Houser April 30 charged with felony theft after police said she stole $1,267 worth of merchandise from Kohl's department store April 28.
Ciccolelli did not enter a plea to the charge. Court records show she was released after posting a $2,500 bond. She is expected to retain an attorney before the June court date.
Kohl's cameras: Kohl's loss prevention officials told police that Ciccolelli was seen on store surveillance cameras entering a women's fitting room with miscellaneous merchandise in a buggy. Reports say that when she left the fitting room, the same merchandise had been placed inside two Kohl's shopping bags and a beige colored personal bag.
Employees stopped Ciccolelli outside the store. She was taken back inside the store and held until township police arrived.
Substitute teacher: Ciccolelli has been a part-time teacher's aide at the high school since February 2000. She had also worked as a substitute teacher at the school.
Superintendent James Ciccolelli was unavailable to comment. Christine Ciccolelli could not be reached.
