RESULTS Safety by the numbers



Results of the three-month Mahoning Safe Communities campaign:
In February: Average seat-belt use by students in the nine high schools was 46.8 percent.
Final result: 59 percent.
Highest percentage of seat-belt use at the midpoint survey: South Range High School, 82.1 percent.
Highest percentage at the final survey: South Range, 84.2 percent.
Largest increase during campaign: The Rayen School, from 6.5 percent to 58.5 percent.
