Education: Bachelor's degree in medical technology from Northwestern University, bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Akron; 1999 graduate of the Executive Program at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration; 1999 alumna of Leadership Mahoning Valley. She is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania.
Most important professional achievement: Being named president of FirstEnergy's Eastern region, providing leadership for 690 employees and serving a half-million customers in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She was FirstEnergy's first female plant superintendent and its first female regional president and before that was Penn Power's first female manager of marketing.
Describing the personal impact of her achievements: "On a daily basis I have become very comfortable with never knowing what is going to walk through my door and to be ready to just go with the flow. I have learned the value of balance in my life and encourage employees to take time to get away and recharge."
