Directions: Lapic Winery at 902 Tulip Drive, New Brighton, Pa., is just off Route 68 between Rochester and Zelienople. To get there, take Route 60 south to Beaver, then follow Route 68 east. Watch for the small, brown winery signs four miles east of Rochester, and turn left on Tulip Drive.Hours/cost: The tasting room is open year-round except on major holidays. March through December, hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday , 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Festival: The winery hosts a festival (for adults only) every fall, renting a neighbor's field for parking. Along with wine tasting, there are demonstrations, displays of old farm equipment, crafts, music and food. This year's festival is Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Entertainment is to include the Country Wranglers and the Dorals. There is an admission fee.
