Safety day for kids to feature free finger printing



AUSTINTOWN -- Dr. Michael P. Weaver, D.C., will have a health, safety and environmental awareness day for children from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at his office, 1130 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Dr. Weaver will provide information on crime prevention, child safety and environmental awareness, will donate special ID cards for each child who attends and the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department will provide free finger printing for children.
In addition, there will be an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog and Pete the YSU Penguin, and the Austintown Fire Department will bring a fire truck and teach fire safety tips to children. The doctor also will do free spinal examinations and scoliosis screening and distribute information about disease prevention and health issues that affect children.
