Youngstown Sluggers finished in third place in the Stow 14-year old tournament. Tyler Stanley (McDonald) and Aaron Pollack (Liberty) pitched complete games, striking out eleven and nine, respectively. Lou Kopachy (Youngstown) was the leading hitter with a .583 average and three doubles and two triples. Mike Bartos (Hubbard) batted .400 and Dan Balog (Youngstown) knocked in four runs.

Astro Falcons 12, Rondinelli 3 -- Billy Couchenour scattered five hits and walked two to pick up the win.
Youngstown Express 13, East Side Kiwanis 2 -- Manoli Pahoulis went 3-for-4, while Mark Rossi, the winning pitcher, had three hits, including a triple and double. Jared Bartholomew singled twice.
Youngstown Express 12, Rondinelli 6 -- Chester Kirkwood and Brett Dutton both tripled and singled. Josh Crum and Jesse D'Amico each singled twice. Phillip Besoui (3-0) was the winning pitcher.
Youngstown Express 10, Astro Falcons 0 -- Ryan Satterlee pitched a one-hitter. David Patrick tripled and doubled, and Manoli Pahoulis singled twice.

Poland David's Heating 4, Boardman Bills Place 1 -- Rob Fuller had 2 hits and Ryan Sidell 3 RBIs, while Mike Swoboda pitched a 3-hitter. Chris Penchalk hit a double for the losers.
Poland David's Heating 5, Austintown Quaker 3 -- Winning pitcher Mike Swoboda struck out 18. Corey Jones had two hits and Joe Renauld two RBIs. C.J. Learn hit a double for the losers.
Campbell 9, Austintown Quaker 2 -- George Schlosser went the distance striking out 10 to pick up the win. Frazier Tirikos, Craig Dirienzo and Josh Tedesco each had two hits.
Campbell West and Barker 16, Boardman Quints Auto Body 3 -- Justin Vrona and Tony Golpe combined for the pitch victory. Trey Soares had three hits.
Canfield Electric Device 9, Struthers Gridiron 3 -- Jake Mosure hit a home run and single and drove in two runs for Electric Device. Mike Hudoba hit a double and drove in two runs. Rob Mistovich hit a home run and Dave Matthews two singles for Struthers.
Poland Tangier 15, Austintown 1 2 -- Paul Hay pitched a one-hitter to pick up the win. Luke Blangero and Jim Marzo each were 3-for-3 with two doubles. Dom Marchionda and Logan Price were 2-for-3 with a double.
UCT 5, Poland Tangiers 3 -- Craig Hritz worked five innings to pick up the win. UCT rallied for three runs in the seventh inning, with Cody Dillon driving in the winning runs.
Austintown Landmark 7, Boardman G.F. Insulation 5 -- Brad Learn pitched seven innings while J.P. Dants had three hits and an RBI, Alex Oles two hits and an RBI and Brian Hritz, Greg LeDesma and Matt Scurti singles. For G.F. Insulation, Nate Tacsik had a triple and single, Corey Keller two singles and Mike Baharis a two-run homer.
UCT Salem 7, Canfield Anthem Blue Cross 4 -- Dominic Gilbey's three doubles and Nick Grier's triple led UCT.
Canfield Electric Device 12, Niles Dunnigan Photography 3 -- Mike Hudoba's three hits included a double and drove in a run. Justin Herberger and Jake Mosure both had two hits. Bryan Butto homered to drive in all three Niles runs.
Springfield 13, Columbiana Sports Scene 7 -- Michael Kampfer, Brady Hankinson and Tyler Hankinson each had three hits.
Struthers Acordia Insurance 11, Niles Cortland Bank 1 -- Bobby Granchic hit two homers while Jacob Leko had three hits. Matt Kotouch had two hits for Acordia. S. Telego doubled for Niles.

Valley Sting's 12U Purple team lost to Diamond Dolls 12-1 in the championship game in the Massillon softball tournament. Sting defeated Lady Lasers Green 6-0, Maddogs 4-1, Amherst (N.Y.) Lightning 13-0 and Canton South Wildcats 4-1 to reach the title game.

Marlowe's Coffee 6, Poland Abi Orthotics-Prosthetics 2 -- Stephanie Zizzo, Katlyn Bernat and Danielle Spencer were the leading hitters. Winning pitcher Justine Klopta struck out seven.
Mull Creek Marlowe's Coffee 10, Boardman Dart Trucking 0 -- Stefanie Grimaldi pitched the shutout and Gina Brunetti, Kaitlin Bernat, Danielle Spencer and Victoria Steiner led the hitting attack. For Dart, Sarah Stafford doubled.
Mill Creek Sandwich Factory 15, Canfield Senn Studio 3 -- Winning pitcher Terra Kountz struck out eight batters. Her triple and single drove in two runs. Ashley Siembleda's two hits included a triple and drove in two runs. For Senn, Dana Elias had three hits.
