Ursuline, the defending state champ, routed Crestview in a district semifinal.

STRUTHERS -- The defending state champion Ursuline High baseball team scored three unearned runs in the first inning and rolled to a 15-0 victory over Crestview, in a Division III district semifinal Monday at Cene Park.
The Irish (15-9) will play for the district title against Girard today at 6:30 p.m. at Cene Park.
"We thought we had to get to them early and we did," Ursuline coach Sean Durkin said. "That put the pressure on them."
Crestview coach Greg Rinyo said, "My worst fear was that we would give them four or five outs early in the game. Give them credit, they took advantage of our mistakes."
In the first inning, the first two Ursuline batters were retired before singles by Erin Satterlee and John Angelo put runners on first and second. One run scored on an error on a ball hit by Brad Hochendoner; then Steve Stroney plated two more Irish runs with a single for a 3-0 lead.
In the second inning, the Irish scored two more unearned runs as a two-out Rebel error allowed one run to score, and Angelo drove in the fifth Ursuline run with a double.
Good pitching: Meanwhile, Angelo was keeping the Rebels scoreless. The pitcher allowed a leadoff bunt single to Andrew Neiheizel to start the game, then retired the next nine men in order.
Crestview managed just two hits, while Angelo (5-3) struck out six and walked two.
"We thought Angelo might be a little overpowering to their lineup, and he was," Durkin said.
Ursuline put the game away as 14 men came to bat in the fourth inning; the Irish used seven hits to plate 10 runs in the frame. A two-run triple by Scott Adair highlighted the Irish attack.
Satterlee stars: Ursuline had 12 hits overall, led by Satterlee, who was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Angelo, Stroney, and Josh Conkey had two hits each for the Irish. Stroney had four RBIs, while Conkey added three.
"We have hit the ball well from number one through nine all year long," Durkin said. "We have done a great job of going with the pitch and taking it the other way."
Seth Antram (5-4) took the loss for the Rebels (14-14), who started six underclassmen during the season.
"Hopefully the kids will learn from today's game," Rinyo said. "When you open the door for a team like Ursuline, they go right through it."
