WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Rene & eacute; Kolat, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kolat, 360 Bedford Road, Lowellville, and Matthew Brophy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Brophy, 113 Pulaski Road, Pulaski, were married April 7 during a 4 p.m. ceremony at West Middlesex United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Dr. John Kees officiated, and a reception was held at the Shenango Valley Civic Center in Sharon, Pa.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the Poconos Mountains.
The bride's white A-line gown of chiffon over satin was designed with a square neckline and short sleeves trimmed with daisy embroidery, sequins and pearls. She held a bouquet of white tiger lilies and roses.
Her cousin, Danielle Piccirilli, was maid of honor. She wore a lilac-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kim Tych and Denise Mijavec.
Justin Collins performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Michael Listopad and Mark Mijavec. The bride's cousin, Richard Malutic, was ring bearer, and usher was her brother, Ron Kolat.
Mrs. Brophy is employed as a customer-service specialist at J.C. Penney in the Southern Park Mall, Boardman.
Her husband holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. He is a database marketing specialist at Seven Seventeen Credit Union in Warren.
