Mercer County agency plans sale

Funds will provide services and programs throughout the county communities.
MERCER, Pa. -- The Children's Aid Society Auxiliary of Mercer County will sponsor a flower, garage and bake sale to raise funds to support service projects throughout the area.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday on the lawn at the agency, 350 W. Market St.
Donations of articles for the garage sale are being accepted.
Purpose: Agency services that will benefit from the fund-raiser include Families Apart Working Together, Family-Based Mental Health, the Neighborhood-Based Family Intervention Center, the Nurturing Program and Parents Anonymous. The agency also provides adoption and day-care information and heads the Mercer County "Safe Kids" program, providing services for more than 2,600 children in the past year.
