Harsanye 50th marked by cruise and family event

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Alex W. Harsanye, 531 Moherman Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 13 during a dinner cruise on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh and at a family event April 14 at the home of a close friend, Tillie Stefanich of Youngstown.
Celebration arrangements were made by the couple's children and spouses, Glenn and Karen Harsanye of Austintown; Gary Harsanye of Columbus; Sandy Burnet and Dale Grabinski of Foothill Ranch, Calif.; Gail and Tony Puntel of McDonald; and Alex W. Harsanye Jr. of Morrison, Colo.
The former Gail Widdersheim and Mr. Harsanye were married April 14, 1951, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Youngstown. They attend Grace Lutheran Church.
A homemaker, Mrs. Harsanye is a member of Saxon Club, Branch 22.
Mr. Harsanye retired in 1985 from Youngstown Fire Department after 33 years of employment. He served in the U.S. Navy.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
