FAONEO ball honors officers

LIBERTY -- The Filipino-American Organization of Northeastern Ohio celebrated its 14th anniversary April 27 at a gala ball at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex.
Honored at the event were the new officers, Lorna S. Carolipio, president; Adele F. Pangilinan, vice president; Ron S. Eiselstein, recording secretary; Sheila F. Douglas, corresponding secretary; Gertrudes E. Bader, treasurer; Daisy P. Zagger, auditor; and the Rev. Frank M. Lehnerd, spiritual director.
Those who will serve as advisers are Estrellita J. Sevilla, immediate past president, and Drs. Fely M. Puray, Esmeralda C. Espino and Escarlito U. Sevilla, past presidents.
The invocation was given by Monsignor William D. Bonczewski of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, and guest speaker was Judge F. Theresa Dellick of the Mahoning County Juvenile Court.
Chairwomen were Dolly McClain and Dr. Emilita Torres.
Also scheduled: Upcoming events for the organization include a May Crowning at 11:15 a.m. May 20 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon and a concert by the Silliman University Campus Choristers at 7 p.m. May 22 at Boardman United Methodist Church. For information call (330) 533-3946.
