East Palestine boys, girls dominate Tri-County

EAST PALESTINE -- The East Palestine High boys and girls won Tri-County League championships Thursday at Bulldog Stadium.
Junior Alex Casi of East Palestine set records in winning the 100-meter dash in 12.6 seconds, and the long jump with 17 feet, 11 3/4 inches. She also won the 200 (26.1) and the 400 (59.4).
Kritina Brickner of Lisbon placed first in the 1600 (5:51.5) and the 3200 (12:08).
Tiffany Smith of Leetonia won the discus (117-11) and placed second in the shot put (34-11).
In the boys division, A.J. Satterfield of East Palestine won the 800 (2:05) and finished second in the 1600 (4:45.8).
Derek Garrod of Columbiana took first place in the 100 (11.3) and the 200 (23.4.)
The Clippers' Dave Rohrer won the 110 hurdles (16.7) and the 300 hurdles (42.1).
Scott Kyser of Leetonia won the discus (160-6) and the shot put (52-6 1/4).
