Boathouse now open
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Lake Glacier boathouse at Mill Creek Park is now open weekends. Pedal boats and rowboats are available for rent at the boathouse from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on weekends.
Beginning May 30 the boathouse will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
The passenger boat will begin operating May 26. Rides will be given to the public from noon until 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays during the summer. To charter the passenger boat, call (330) 702-3000.
Proposals accepted
YOUNGSTOWN -- Proposals will be taken until noon May 24 to build an addition and upgrade the electric service at the Associated Neighborhood Centers in the McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. Work will include a "safe room," according to bid documents.
