Mandl-Simons wedding plans are announced

Plans for their upcoming marriage are being announced by Catherine J. Mandl, 7670 Winterberry Drive, Boardman, and W. Jason Simons, 3707 Castle Court, Youngstown.
The couple have chosen St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown for their open wedding to be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 4. They will extend invitations for a reception planned for that evening in the grand ballroom at the Holiday Inn, Boardman.
Miss Mandl is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Cooney, also of 7670 Winterberry Drive, and Richard Mandl of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and is employed in Boardman.
Mr. and Mrs. William Simons, 1424 Turnberry Drive, Boardman, are parents of the prospective groom. He graduated from Mount Union College, Alliance, with a degree in exercise science and is a firefighter with Youngstown Fire Department and a fitness director at Bedford YMCA in Cleveland.
