Brenda Dawson, Arthur Carter are engaged

YOUNGSTOWN -- Brenda L. Dawson, 655 Manchester Ave., and Arthur R. Carter, 820 Parkwood Ave., are announcing their engagement and plans for their late-summer wedding.
The bride-elect, a daughter of Mrs. Jimmie Lee Peoples, 1000 Delaware Ave., graduated from Harding Business College with a medical assistance degree and attended Trumbull Business College. She is an assembler in the bussed electrical center with Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren.
Her fiance is a son of Mrs. Sarah Carter of the Parkwood Avenue address. He is employed with Interfaith Home Maintenance.
The couple will be married in an open ceremony to take place at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Their evening reception will be held by invitation at McMenamy's in Niles.
