WEIMAR, Texas -- A postnuptial reception will be held May 19 at the Saxon Club Pavilion in Austintown to honor James Richard Huffman and his bride, the former Virginia Lee Cochran, both of 7615 Rathlin Court, Charlotte, N. C., who were married March 31 at The Phoenix Ranch, where a reception was held afterward.
The Rev. Shannon Betty presided at the 1 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Virgil and Peggy Cochran, 107 N. Oak Drive, Columbus, Texas, and the son of James and Barbara Huffman, 131 N. Turner Road, Youngstown.
The bride, a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with a bachelor's degree in journalism, is director of recruiting at Baytree Associates in Charlotte.
The groom served with the U.S. Marines and U. S. Air Force, and is an engineer with Charlotte Mecklenburg Fire Department in Charlotte. He is attending the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown designed with a jewel neckline trimmed in cafe.
Light-blue gowns were worn by Denise Jackson, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Baker, Lisa Cochran and Ashton Cochran. Flower girl was Abigail Baker.
Paul DeFranzo served as best man, and groomsmen were Kirk Baker and Chris Cochran. Guests were ushered by Chad Baker and Sean Baker.
The couple live at the Rathlin Court address.
