WARREN HIGH SCHOOLS Hall of fame inductees

Ten graduates of Warren high schools were inducted into the hall of fame Saturday:
Michael Capellas, 1972: Chairman and CEO of Compaq Computer Co.; national trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America; community and education activist.
Lt. Col. Frank Chance (deceased), 1946: Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and an intelligence officer of classified defense information for western Europe and the Middle East.
R. Jeffrey Ding, 1971: Welding engineer who developed technology used in NASA manufacturing programs, developed the world's first operational automated retractable pin-tool, Marshall Space Flight Center's Inventor of the Year for 2000, community activist.
R. Gregory Geletka, 1966: President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Capital Services, professional affiliations in banking, real estate and urban economics, community activist in youth sports.
John H. Gherlein, 1944: Retired partner of Thompson, Hine and Flory law firm where he was elected first managing partner in 1988, Navy veteran, named one of the best lawyers in America in 1989-90, community activist.
Richard W. Haupt, 1944: Naval oceanographer, U.S. representative to NATO Military Oceanographic Group, received two Navy commendation medals, commander of operations for Navy oceanographic office, community activist.
Anthony J. Payiavlas, 1980: Executive vice president of AVI Foodsystems Inc., America's largest independently owned food service company, past member of Warren Board of Education, community activist in education, church and the arts.
Army Maj. Timothy A. Raimey, 1978: Director of health care operations in Norfolk, Va., a junior officer of the year in 1993, mentors program for at-risk youth, Habitat for Humanity, mentor of black cadets at West Point.
Linda Broadbelt Rekoske, 1985: Tenured associate professor of chemical engineering at Northwestern University, CAREER award from the National Science Foundation for outstanding research and education, academic liaison to the Chicago branch of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering.
Darryl White, 1981: Trumpet professor at the University of Nebraska, lecturer, soloist, recording artist, member of university speaker's bureau, leadership role in Boy Scouts of America.
