ROBERT S. KIMMEL, 80
POLAND -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home for Robert S. Kimmel, 80, of 1875 Lemont Drive, who died early Saturday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Kimmel was born March 21, 1921, in Ellwood City, Pa., a son of Willard and Nora Hardesty Kimmel, was raised in New Castle and came to this area in 1939.
He retired in 1973 from the wire braid department of Republic Rubber Aeroquip Co., after 32 years.
A member of Poland United Methodist Church, he was a former member of Lowellville Rod & amp; Gun Club and had been a Scout leader for Troop 2.
He was a 1939 graduate of New Castle High School and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, the former Jane Sinclair, whom he married July 20, 1946, he leaves a daughter, Susan Welton of Poland; a son, Robert S. of Poland; a brother, Willard of Boardman; and four grandchildren.
A brother, Arthur Kimmel, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
