MILAN F. HOUK, 80
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McVean & amp; Hughes Funeral Home for Milan F. Houk, 80, of 2419 Trussit Ave., who died Friday at home.
Mr. Houk, whose nickname was "Red," was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Kent, a son of Robert E. and Thelma D. Edelmann.
He worked 36 years in shipping and receiving for Commercial Shearing before retiring in 1983. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in Europe.
His wife, the former Alice P. Dangio, whom he married July 8, 1948, died Nov. 22, 1989.
He leaves two sons, Daniel J. of Liberty and Donald J. of Youngstown; a daughter, Marlane A. McKim of Youngstown; a brother, Robert H. of Spokane, Wash.; three sisters, June Megela and Beverly Siman, both of Boardman, and Arlene Habib of Poland; and four grandchildren.
Two sisters, Nedra Szanyi and Mary Jane Kirtin, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
