Mahons renew marriage vows on anniversary



YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. John Mahon, 2727 Brunswick Road, renewed their marriage vows April 7 at St. Christine Church in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple's nephew, Deacon Jack Carney, presided at the ceremony.
Afterward the couple were honored during a reception held by their family at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
Hosts for the festivities were John and Georgie Mahon, Jim and Paulette Mahon , and Christine and Joe Deluca, all of Youngstown; Pat and Diane Mahon and Kathleen and Jeff Casity, all of Austintown; and Madonna and Joe LoCicero of Franklin, Tenn. Also participating were the couple's eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The former Mary Audrey Sullivan and Mr. Mahon were married April 7, 1951, at St. Ann Catholic Church. They are members of St. Christine Church.
Mr. Mahon served with the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and retired in 1996 from the Youngstown Water Department, where he was a maintenance man. He is employed at McVean and Hughes Funeral Home.
