NEW WATERFORD -- Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana for Howard G. Brown, 67, of 46357 Hatcher Road, who died Saturday morning at home after a six-month illness.
Mr. Brown was born, Aug. 9, 1933, in Moundsville, W.Va., a son of George Ivory and Mary Edith Yost Brown.
He lived for many years in Bellaire, Ohio, 20 years in Toledo and the last nine years in New Waterford.
He was in the Air Force 16 years, including the Korean War.
He worked as a long-haul trucker for more than 22 years for Roadway Express.
Mr. Brown was a member of New Waterford Eagles Lodge 2415 and Teamsters Local 377, Youngstown.
Surviving him are his wife, the former Betty Jean Bennett, whom he married Jan. 6, 1957; five daughters, Mrs. Mitzi Wampler of Worthington, Ind., Mrs. Stephanie White and Mrs. Kimberly Lopez, both of Toledo; Jennifer Simons of Columbus and Penny Simons-Brown at home; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Morgan and Mrs. Hazel McConnell, both of Bellaire; a brother, James Brown of Moundsville, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
