Columbiana foundation holds election of officers

COLUMBIANA -- Donald H. Reash was elected president of the Columbiana Community Foundation Inc. during a meeting April 23 at Heck's Restaurant.
Serving with him will be Judge Mark A. Frost, vice president; Jean Ziegler-Rienerth, secretary; and Samuel C. Ferguson, treasurer.
Trustees are Richard Berryman, Dave George, John Kimpel, Donald Rupert, Jack W. Sitler and Dino Sposato. Helen M. Barrow, founder, is an honorary trustee.
The foundation, which started in 1986, is a public charitable trust operated by volunteers to support worthy Columbiana area projects. The current membership of 148 includes a board of trustees and donors; a contribution of $100 or more entitles a person to a lifetime membership.
Upcoming: Scholarships for 2000-01 will be distributed at awards night May 14.
