YOUNGSTOWN Road-rage case goes to jury

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jury deliberation will begin Monday in the Mahoning County Common Pleas Court trial of Tina Davis, 37, of Powers Way, charged with felonious assault.
Prosecutors say it was a case of road rage that caused Davis to run over 43-year-old David Morrow of Austintown with her car in the parking lot of a Boardman restaurant last year.
Davis testified Friday that Morrow and two other men in a car with him taunted her on Interstate 680 by veering in and out of her lane and cutting in front of her.
She followed the car to the restaurant to get its license plate number.
She testified that the men surrounded her car, preventing her from leaving the parking lot, and that Morrow jumped onto the hood of her car as she tried to drive away.
Under cross-examination by Assistant Prosecutor Patrick R. Pochiro, she said the men were beside her car, not in front of it. She denied running over Morrow.
