WILLIAM R. GOTT, 72



CAMPBELL -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Hungarian Presbyterian Church, Youngstown, for William R. Gott, 72, of 66 Regent St., who died Thursday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Gott was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Youngstown, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Estock Gott, and was a lifelong area resident. He was general foreman of shipping in the pipe mill of Republic Steel Corp.. for 30 years and retired in 1981, and afterward worked for 12 years at E.H. Duncan Plumbing Co.
He was a member of the church, where he served as elder, and he was a member of the Mahoning Valley Industrial Management Association and the Republic Steel Supervisors Retirees. He was an adviser for Junior Achievement and was a Scout leader. He was a graduate of South High School and a Marine veteran.
Beside his wife, the former Julia Gretchey, whom he married March 12, 1960, he leaves a son, Robert of Mesquite, Texas.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and for a half-hour Monday before services in the church.
